Hematology is a medical discipline that deals with blood and its diseases called "hemopathies" such as anemia, lymphoma, etc. It studies more specifically the blood cells which originate in the bone marrow and which have a role in oxygenation, immunity and coagulation. This discipline also deals with coagulation disorders such as hemophilia.
